Koblenz - November 14, 2012: CompuGroup Medical AG today presented the financial report for the third quarter of 2012. The company, one of the leading global providers of eHealth solutions, achieved revenue of EUR 107.0 million, compared to EUR 103.3 million in the third quarter 2011. This represents an increase of 4 percent.

In the HPS (Health Provider Services) business segment, revenue was EUR 92.6 million compared to EUR 87.5 million in the third quarter of 2011. This represents an increase of 6 percent of which 3 percent is organic growth. Growth is driven by continued positive development and 6 percent organic growth in high margin Ambulatory Information Systems whereas the third quarter showed lower revenue within Hospital Information Systems compared to last year.

The HCS (Health Connectivity Services) business segment revenue decreased from 15.7 million in the third quarter 2011 to EUR 14.1 million in 2012. This was over all affected by new guidelines for the certification of physicians' software in Germany which, as expected, reduced revenue in Communication & Data in the third quarter.

Third quarter operating profit (EBITDA) came in at EUR 24.4 million, compared to EUR 23.3 million in the same period 2011. This represents an increase of 5 percent. The underlying profitability is good as the reported figures include a EUR 1.5 million on-off restructuring charge in the Netherlands.

Despite this, I am encouraged by the continued positive development and organic growth in the AIS business, knowing that this will get even stronger already in the next quarter with new business models coming on stream in Germany", stated Frank Gotthardt, CEO and Chairman of the Board of CompuGroup Medical AG. CompuGroup Medical reaffirms the 2012 outlook presented in the financial report for the second quarter 2012 with full year group revenue expected to be in the range of EUR 450 million to EUR 460 million and operating income (EBITDA) expected to be in the range of EUR 100 million to EUR 105 million.
